Mrs. Dalloway’s poignant reflection on middle age, interior worlds, and mental health has had staying power for more than a century. We follow a single day in the life of Clarissa Dalloway as she prepares for a party and reflects on the choices she’s made . . . and the ones she’s let drift too far from her. 

Choosing to mend “a favourite dress” to wear to the party becomes an act of reflection and care but one that’s also marked by distraction and insecurity. What can be fixed and who can fix it? What is better left unmended and unexamined?
