Sidewalk Study: OH, TO BE CLOTHED!

We take for granted the practice of clothing our bodies, and most attempts to theorize this practice emerge from social science, psychology, or marketing research. But what if those shoes want to be on your feet as much as you want to wear them? What if our clothing “choices” convey less a decision that is made by us, and rather a relationship that unfolds between us and our garments?

Looking through the lens of Affect Studies (or "non-representational theory”), this Study will consider how identity is affected (!) when we include clothing in the “assemblage” of our bodies.
