Atlas of Attention Activism

The Atlas of Attention Activism is a digital mapping database created by the School of Radical Attention (SoRA). We're a Brooklyn-based non-profit dedicated to ATTENTION ACTIVISM: the practices of study, organizing, and sanctuary-building that resist the harms of human fracking and advance the forms of attention conducive to human freedom. The Atlas will go live on our website on March 1st.

SoRA is working to build (and nourish, and learn from) a network of other communities dedicated to the study and practice of human attention, in all its richness. We believe that shifting technologies and new political and economic pressures urgently demand diverse and distributed efforts of collective inquiry into human attention (its philosophical nature, its social powers, and its practical applications). This must happen at all levels — both in institutions, and outside them; from ivory towers to grass roots.

That's where you come in! If you are organizing your community to think about, talk about, practice, and/or share authentic attention, we'd love to have you in our network, and hear about what you are doing. Please email us! And if you'd like your group to be included on the Atlas, take a moment to fill out the form linked HERE!

Notice: Airtable has experienced temporary outages recently. If you click the link and can’t access the form, please email <strotherschool@sustainedattention.net> and we’ll be happy to add you to the Atlas manually.
