After an evening of ghost stories, Ichabod Crane rides home through the familiar woods of Sleepy Hollow. Every sound and shadow now seems charged with possibility. Is something following him, or have the stories changed the way he sees the path?
Reading a short passage from Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, we’ll walk through Pease Park after dusk and notice what happens when we bring a spooky story into a real landscape. We’ll follow the trees and Shoal Creek, then gather at The Tavern, an Austin bar with a ghost story of its own, to share what we noticed.
