What role can physical spaces play in building the Attention Activism movement?
Join us to celebrate the launch of our new Attention Sanctuary Initiative—a national coalition of spaces committed to the fight against Human Fracking.
We will hear from strategic working groups to build diverse kinds of Sanctuary (study spaces, art spaces, restaurants, cafes, bars, worship spaces, etc.), disseminate tools for place-making and community-building, and hear from some early members of the coalition based in NYC.
Through facilitated discussion and guided practices, we will explore how the places we gather can shelter and nourish radical human attention. Our objective: to come away with a strong sense of shared mission — and of the possibility for our shared world-building project.
This event is open to ALL who run physical spaces—bar owners, restaurateurs, community gardeners, librarians, teachers, warehouse owners—and all else! Attention Sanctuary Kits and light refreshments will be provided.
